WTOC First Alert Radar App Reviews

I love this app but wish when ever you get an alert for lighting you can change it to an notification alert beep not a voice that say "lightning has been detected in your area" because sometimes it will ring at 3 am and scare me half to death. And also WTOC your video player sometimes doesnt work but it might be me so maybe you wont need to change it.

The rain chances change so dramatically in such a short period of time. One minute you can have an 80% chance of rain for the next day - a few hours later there is only a 20% chance. Thats not forecasting, thats guessing.

This app does exactly what I need it to; give accurate UP TO DATE radar on a clean, zoomable map, with an animation option. I use TWC Max for most of my daily weather info. But one thing it lacks is up to date radar which can sometimes be as much as an hour behind. If a storm is in the area its nice to have the most recent images... where it was 45min ago doesnt help. App opens immediately to live radar so I dont even have to select anything. It also doesnt support multitasking which I prefer so it automatically refreshes with the most current info.

The app loads slow on my 3Gs, opens to the map which has the 3 day forcast so small it is hard to read (no resizing option). There is no ability to select a different home view. The 10 day forecast overlaps and 1/2 the days are covered.

This app is awesome, props to you guys. I love how I can see the radar, cloud coverage, wind speeds, ect. The hourly forecast is highly accurate as well. All from my current location. You did great!

The latest update is great! The graphics look nice, and it is great to have the video feature.

The interactivity of the app is fine. But the notifications are over the top. Last night I got notified numerous times of a tropical storm warning. Finally I went through my settings & turned off the sound of the notifications, so I could sleep in peace. Then, when I opened the app to view the latest weather this morning, a police siren sound went off. Seriously!? I dont want to hear sounds about the weather. If it was a tornado, yeah, maybe. But a tropical storm that MIGHT hit in the next few days. One alert is fine. But I promise, 10 or more is just annoying. Sorry, deleting the app now. My husband informed me that he deleted the app for the same reason. Ill just use the weather channel app.

Goes right to radar and has good features but when my wi-fi is connected it said could not connect to wi-fi,good job wtoc! But if you can fix the app I would appreciate a lot!

Please make app "share" friendly through social media apps like twitter and Facebook.

It helps me know if a storm is coming right away!! Get this app!

For some reason an error pop up telling me to check my wifi or if Im in airplane mode. Im at home on solid ground using my home wifi. I get to use at max three time before the error. Please fix!

Best weather app. So many options.

Perfect for keeping up with local weather.

The most annoying thing with this app is getting “Weather Alerts” constantly for areas that are HUNDREDS OF MILES AWAY! Every time I clear the notification, it pops back up. So my only choice is to turn off notifications altogether for this app - which is ridiculous - because what to do if there is an actual emergency? Annoying. Weather info is nice, radar is good. Ads are annoying. The way the app is laid out makes it feel that it isn’t optimized for the iPhone 5 screen (but it is). I don’t like hating on a local business’s app but it needs improvements.

I use it at least once a day. I love how you can look at the radar no matte Where you are!

Location not working on my iphone keeps going to default location please fix

Dont like the new format. Now I have to open the menu, click map, open menu, click forecast; just to see everything that I used to see when the old version opened. Thats what we loved about the old one, everything you wanted to know was right there when it opened. Not convenient at all!!!

I have been using this app for a long time, I do not like the new format and am looking for a new weather app

While I like wtoc this app is very clunky I dont like how the menu and maps are set up.
